HEAL
Addressing the Source of Your Pain
Balance heals back and joint pain at its source. This isn’t theory—it’s based on rigorous observation of people who still have natural balance and live pain-free.
Here’s how it works:
Our spine and skeleton are designed to balance effortlessly on the line of gravity. Small children and some people in traditional societies still maintain this natural alignment.
But in the modern world, we are far from this ideal. Instead of letting our bones carry our weight as they should, we rely on the large muscles of our shoulders, legs, and back to hold us up. This weakens bones—since weight-bearing strengthens them—and creates constant strain in our muscles, which become tense, weak, and misaligned. As muscles grip, joints shift out of alignment, leading to excess wear and tear, pain, and stiffness.
Restoring balance, though natural alignment of your spine and pelvis, lets bones regain strength, muscles relax, and joints realign—bringing lasting relief.
TRANSFORM
Change Your Habits, Change Your Life
The good news? You can restore balance. Most people feel better after just one intro class, and relief deepens over time. The more you integrate these changes into daily life, the more profound the benefits become.
And this is where the true value of Balance lies:
How you use your spine and body 24 hours a day determines whether you strengthen or weaken over time. If you don’t shift your daily habits, you stay stuck in the same cycle. If you do, you’ll be practicing what we call The Yoga of Everyday Life—a practice that seamlessly integrates into how you already live, without requiring extra time.
THRIVE
Align Your Spine, Body, Mind and Spirit
From your first class, you’ll feel relief and begin to see transformations. As your spine returns to natural alignment, your nervous system decompresses. You’ll feel more relaxed, yet more aware and balanced.
In Balance, daily activities like walking, sitting, gardening, and lifting become opportunities to build deep, authentic strength.
This is a lifelong practice, best done with the support of a community. Together, people in Balance create a counterculture of natural movement, calmness, and relaxation.

Origins of the Approach
The foundation of this method stems from the observations of Noëlle Perez-Christiaens, a Parisian yoga instructor. She recognized a misalignment in modern posture compared to historical and less industrialized populations. Inspired by insights from B.K.S. Iyengar, she developed a system of postural correction, known as "Aplomb" in France, documented in her numerous French-language publications.

A Distinctive Approach
What sets this method apart is its focus on studying populations with healthy posture, rather than those experiencing postural issues common in Western nations. It emphasizes aligning the body with gravity, rather than resisting it. This natural alignment reduces tension, enhancing strength, comfort, and relaxation. This mirrors the natural posture observed in young children.
Initially, guidance from a qualified instructor is essential. With consistent practice, these principles become integrated into your daily life, providing you with portable tools for continuous well-being.
